MagSpin presents a novel screen material for smartphones: specifically designed and highly scratch resistant.
Unlike tempered glass and sapphire, MagSpin has a microstructure that can be manipulated to control the engineering properties of the material. It is possible to produce a series of products each having different mechanical strengths as it is possible to change the toughness over a single piece. The product that we present is a regionally reinforced phone screen: sides and corners, that are the most vulnerable parts to impact, are extra toughened.
In smart phone applications, MagSpin can be used not only for the screen but also for the whole body to provide an creative and elegant design.
